The Bounds Auction Company is engaged in the business of preparing estate inventories and the appraisal of personal property. Where these services are most often contracted by private parties or law firms, they are also offered to insurance companies, institutions, government agencies, and law enforcement.
Mr. Omar P. Bounds III, A.A.R.E., C.E.S., G.P.P.A., is trained in the appraisal of fine American & Continental furniture and decorative arts including but not limited to : the antique (18th & 19th century), contemporary & reproduction, porcelains, pottery, glassware, silverware, oriental carpeting, clocks & other period accessories. Antique and contemporary wooden & brass musical instruments craft & trade tools, and a variety of collectable's & Americana.
Through his years of experience in the manufacturing sector, he is expert in woodworking and wood processing equipment, metal working and other manufacturing, fabricating, processing equipment. He is well acquainted with transportation, construction, trade and other specialty tooling.
Mr. Bounds extends this knowledge base through an extensive network of expert associates in many fields including but not limited to business valuation, motor, air & water craft, items of equestrian interest, jewelry, dolls, fine linen and American needle & fabric craft, textiles, vintage garments & couture, antique toys, historic artifacts, sporting collectable's, stamps, rare books, coins, ephemera, photographic art, paintings and other fine art.
Appraisal is most often a team effort.
While The Bounds Auction Company may tender an offer to represent the property appraised to the marketplace, there will never be any offer to purchase outright or exchange any property or service for property appraised by Bounds Auction Company or any of their employees or agents. Appraisals conform to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP, latest edition) of the Appraisal Foundation. All appraisal fees are calculated on a by the hour, plus costs basis only. Payment is due upon delivery of report.
